Ford Hit Their Goal For Reducing Manufacturing Emissions a Whopping 8 Years Early

Now this is some impressive news coming from Ford, especially when the need for environmentally-friendly and sustainable business practices are more important than ever before. The numbers are in and it is now official; Ford achieved its manufacturing-emissions reduction goal an incredible 8 years ahead of schedule.

The goal was first set back in the year 2010, with the hopes of reducing carbon-dioxide emissions from the automaker's manufacturing operations by 30% for every model produced, by the year 2025. Well it's only 2018, yet Ford has confirmed just this month that they have officially hit this tremendous goal already, with tons of time to spare leftover!

Here's what Ford's group vice president, Bruce Hettle, had to say about this huge accomplishment himself. "We are proud of the work we have done to achieve this goal. We've made several improvements to our manufacturing operations - from the lighting we use to plant consolidations - all of which played a role in dramatically reducing our CO2 footprint".

Here at Bell Ford, we are greatly looking forward to seeing what other developments that Ford has up their sleeve regarding the automotive world and environmental sustainability! And if you're interested, please feel free to come get behind the wheel of any one of our new Ford models available in Arlington, WI. at your earliest convenience.
