Glass Coat - What is it and should you get it for your vehicle?

Glass coat is a liquid chemical product that adheres to the factory applied clear coat on all painted exterior surfaces of a vehicle. It creates a bond like a ceramic polymer, making the clear coat twice as thick.

It protects the paint from environmental hazards like bird droppings, road deicing agents, bug guts, acid rain, tree sap and more. Without protection, exposure to these elements will eat into the unprotected clear coat and cause paint to fade and chip away. Think of it like the enamel on your teeth. If you brush too hard or expose them to acidic foods and other sources of decay, the enamel will wear away causing discoloration and deterioration.

A lot of people spend their time and money investing in car care products like waxing agents. Glass coat makes it so you never have to wax your vehicle again. It is so effective at protecting the clear coat and paint that Simoniz offers a Lifetime Warranty on Brand New Vehicles that have the product applied. If acid rain, bug guts or any of the other environmental hazards we talked about start to eat into the clear coat and damage the paint, Simoniz will have that portion of the exterior repainted with factory match paint. As part of the warranty, Simoniz will also help pay for a rental vehicle while yours is being repaired.

In addition to the exterior, the glass coat package is applied to seats and carpet on the interior of the vehicle, protecting them from stains. Liquid spills, lipstick, vomit, urine, etc. If something stains the interior (carpet or seats) and it is not able to be pulled out, Simoniz will have that portion of the interior reupholstered.

No time spent waxing, no money spent on products that offer zero warranty or return on investment. One time application for a lifetime of protection with no deductible, which is why we highly recommend it to all of our customers.
